DISCOVER VIETNAM IN ONE WEEK
Day 1:
Hanoi city tours. Pick up at your hotel for full day tour of Hanoi, visit Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum and his simple stilted house (Not available on Mon and Fri), Presidential Palace and One Pillar pagoda. Continue visiting West lake with Tran Quoc pagoda, Ethnology museum and Temple of Literature, the first university of Vietnam. After lunch, continue visiting Hoa Lo Prison, known by U.S airmen as “Hanoi Hilton”. Then visit the Huu Tiep area to see an American B-52 that was shot down during the Christmas bombing in 1968 sits rusting in a small pond surrounded by a busy market. Take a cyclo ride through the old quarter with 36 commercial streets. Evening attend a water puppet performance. Then transfer back to your hotel for relax until 20:00 pick up at your hotel (late check out at hotel is included) and transfer to Hanoi station for overnight train to Lao Cai, departs at 21:15.

Day 2:
Arrive Lao Cai at 5:30am. Pick up and have breakfast at local restaurant, then transfer to Bacha (appr. 1,3hour drive) for explore the spectacular market. Here you will see local hill tribes from all over the area. The major tribe is Flower H'mong along with the Black Yao, Nung, Phu La tribes all coming from neighborhood villages to exchange local produces from their farms and livestock. After visiting Bac Ha market, drive 2,5 miles to visit Ban Pho village of Flower H’mong people, meet up with a local family, learn their culture and way of life. After lunch (on your account), drive for 10 miles to Trung Do. You will walk through rice paddies, along Chay river until you reach their village. Afterwards, you will enjoy a boat journey on the Chay river where you will see the locals at work and gaze at the stunning mountain scenery. Then, pick up at Bao Nhai bridge and drive to Sapa.

Day 3 :
After breakfast, start a half day trek to Lao Chai and Ta Van (vehicle is available for those who don’t want a long walk). Begin the 3.5 miles walk by descending into a rice-terraced valley on the foot of Fansipan mountain, with the heart-breaking landscapes. Walk though isolated villages, rice fields, and thatched roof villages where Hmong people live. Observe the Hmong at work and at play in their distinctive dark blue dress. Continue hiking to the village of Ta Van, one of the few villages in Vietnam inhabited by the Zay tribe. Arrive in Ta Van this afternoon, continue exploring the villages nearby. Then pick up and drive back to Sapa. After lunch (on your account), on the clear day explore Sapa town and its fascinating market.

Day 4:
After breakfast, check out hotel and you travel by car toward the Silver Waterfall where you will be able to take a short walk to the waterfall. You will then drive further to Heaven Gate, the highest peak of roads in Vietnam. From there you can see Fansipan, the highest peak of Indochina mountains as well as enjoy stunning views. We start descending nearby the waterfall. The trail takes you all the way downhill through bamboo forest, which belongs to Hoang Lien National Park. Your picnic lunch will be served at a nice spot nearby a river. After lunch, you continue the trek to Sin Chai village of Black Hmong minority. You will have opportunity to explore daily life of one of the largest group ethnic minorities in Sapa area. Then transfer to Laocai, in Lao Cai, visit Sino – Vietnam border and have dinner a local restaurant (on your account) untill transfer to train station for night train back to Hanoi.

Day 5:
Arrive Hanoi station at 5:30am, pick up and transfer to mini hotel in Hanoi for day use room & breakfast until 8:30am drive to Ha Long. Stop to visit Silk paintings at Chan Thien.
11:30. Arrive at Tuan Chau Island
11:45. Transfer to cruise ship 12:00. Welcome Cocktail – cruise briefing, safety instructions, check-in cabins
12:15. Depart to Halong Bay – cruise and program commence
13:00. Asian Lunch Buffet
14.30. Arrive at Surprise Cave (Hang Sung Sot) – explore most famous grotto
15.45. Transfer to cruise ship
16.30. Arrive at Cua Van Fishing Village – experience life of local people
17.15. Continue cruise through Halong Bay
18.00. Arrive at Dong Tien (Fairy Cave) Area – swimming or kayaking, stay overnight
